Happy Birthday to me!

i was queen for a day.
so i'm 29 for the 13th time! oh it's great being a young thing. i had fruit in bed for breakfast (per my request) and wore a new birthday dress to church, had my favorite sunday lunch - triscuits with cheese and apples, cleaned the house up a bit, my mom made my favorite strawberry dessert for me, my lovely friend sachia came over with a cupcake from "dots" and a beautiful necklace for me, i got lots of great phone calls, and the kids got me a "bling" cell phone cover (dark pink rhinestones), some pretty plates, and a work out outfit. i told ian that he could give me as a gift "permission" to start on and finish the 2 bathroom remodels - he just laughed. mark my word...i'm gonna do it!
my sweet friend allison came over yesterday with 2 beautiful flower arrangements she made in a pair of sweet shabby chic urns. thank you allison, i LOVE them. i don't like attention drawn to me and would rather be the type that stands in the back of a crowd, off center. but i love how sweet friends and acquaintances remembered me today and wished me well and thought of me! i do feel special.
i told ethan that he could give mommy the bestest gift ever and rub her back and head - i may have to pay him for that gift....so be it.
i have a sugar headache now and am fading fast. the sleep fairies are calling me to beddy-by.
i admit i truly welcome each new year and enjoy getting older. each wrinkle and grey hair tells a story about me and who i am. each new line on my face reflects a smile you've put on my face and i will wear them proudly - no botox or facelift for me...EVER!
anything i have ever really wanted, i already have. there's nothing left to desire that my heart longs for. how lucky a girl am i? i just hope i live at least 50 more years.
