this is where i will be vacationing, alone, for the month of july. in my dreams, of course.
i'm so busy (not really) reading other blogs that i don't have time to post on my own. i may make the time this week, since school is over and i should have the time. but too many projects going on around here!
i'd like to post about memorial day (hello! only over a month ago), and the end of school year events, and taking lauren to palm springs, and 4th of july, and life!
it comes and goes and the dayz just seem to whiz by.
our summer is just "full" enough. lauren is doing a school performance and gone everyday. she'll also do girls camp. ethan will do scout camp. evan...just wants to be home. both boyz will do swim and art and goose even wants to do guitar. i told them we would "play" school this summer so i went and got them the bridging workbooks for each of them to work on. i'm really gonna have to load up on tons of candy for that to happen!! oh, and we've got cavities to fill...so maybe not so much candy.
no real summer trips. we just got back from one and we may try to sneak in one to lake tahoe at summer's end. i...on the other hand...get to have MY VERY OWN SUMMER VACATION this year. judy and i will be going to cancun...alone!! no husbands. no kids. no schedule, backpacks with snacks to carry, whining kids, bored kids, or fighting about what "we're gonna do today"...kind of vacation! can't wait. so that now means only one thing...shedding 10 packed on pounds so i can pull and yank my body into a bikini. a bikini??? yes. judy said that "everyone" wears one in cancun and that if i don't ~ i will get laughed at! i prefer to be a "peculilar people" and not wear one. but...i'd also like an incentive to lose some poundage left over from the holiday's and squeeze into one. hmmm...we'll see judy.
i'll be downloading tons of photos this week to post our latest adventures.
i'm SO dang glad it's summer!
