Picture this...

every year i am always on a quest to take a family photo with this "perfect image" in my head of what i want. and every year we end up with a photo that's "gonna have to be good enough" because we end up having allotted very little time to photograph. and in the end...who cares.

but i wanted b/w photos with only green being highlighted, this year. we got that. what we didn't get was "focused" on the one i really loved. but i thought i'd share these anyway. i really loved them even though they were out of focus, fuzzy, and my hair was frizzy.

i had wanted to include a parody i wrote on "why the tervets are now a GREEN family" - you know, being environmentally aware and taking care of our mother earth (hence the green in the photo), but the printer would not print for me and i gave up, here it is anyway:

We're a GREEN family now, here's why...

~we're part irish

~it's the color of money (me like)

~they say it's good for the environment to be green (really?)

~it's a flattering color for our skin tones

~...and we all look good in it

~it's green all year long in california

~we canoed down the green river this summer

~it's our school's color (who cares)

~it's the color of nature (duh)

~we love thee great outdoors (outhouses included)

~to reduce, reuse, and recycle one must think about it...we rarely think about it

~we eat our vegetables (boring)

~when you "go green" in pasadena you get rebates (except we never qualify cuz we're cheap)

~we love the smell of grass (the lawn, that is)

~green means "go"...and...i...like to go shopping? a lot

~you know what they say about green m&m's

~we are not fans of kermit the frog, although, the first time i heard ian sing he did sound just like him

~green is the universal color (big deal)

~someone's gotta support the whole "go green" marketing ploy (we're just doin' our part)
