it was a yellow day. whatever that means. the kids had fun telling me what to take photos of.let me just say that i learned something about myself. when one stressful thing overwhelms me i have an anxiety attack. when more than 3 occur, i just seem to throw my hands up in the air as an invitation to the heavens to "bring it on"! case and point: this morning...contractor here to install new windows and doors...they were all the wrong sizes!!! simultaneously the washer floods the kitchen. i retreat to the basement to organize and see rat droppings and get out the broom and start poking, and hitting and swatting, and swinging, and hit a rats nest and they scatter on the 4x 6 floor that i'm standing on, barefoot. i scream like a mexican and scare my boys and they run onto the kitchen counters to seek refuge. ian is in london. i'm trying to diet. due to the stress and anxiety of the morning i find comfort in.....FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my brother says, "don't freak out and get all crazy suzy" he so knows me, and he takes care of some of the issues. what would i do without you gabe? my boys also tried to rescue me from insanity until i screamed about the rats on the loose. where's the chocolate when i need it????

Okay, this is going to be a long comment, but I have a story to tell you about when we found mice in our house. My sweet husband thought that he would buy this trap that "humanely" caught them and killed them. WHATEVER. We had them in my kitchen GROSS!! We set the trap and went to bed. I couldn't sleep waiting for the SNAP. We hear the SNAP and then the screaming of a mouse. I look at Ryan and say, "is it supposed to scream like that?" I stay in the room and he goes in the kitchen and finds that only it's tail and foot has been caught.
To make a long story longer. He decides to "humanely" drown the mouse and give me a play by play. It was horrible, he thought that it would be less bad then any other way.
I feel your pain, Suzy. I am so sorry. I can tell you, however, we got someone in to exterminate and I have never seen one since. It has been three years!! I am a very happy customer!
