making 4 dozen cupcakes thursday night at 10pm for lauren's class party on friday
then getting up at 5:15am on friday to finish decorating them!!! o.k., she did half.
going with evan to see the nutcracker - so blissful. half way thru he asks "is it over yet?" 
this is THE best candle for Christmas. i love, love, love it. it smells like a sweet Christmas tree.
and tonight ian and i watched my most favorite Christmas movie ever, in front of a cozy fire.
it's like 11:30pm and i have about 5 more crafts to finish. it just started to rain outside and i'm pretending it's the sound of snow - it's still a light patter. i haven't finished my holiday shopping, tonight the kids and i baked 4 kinds of cookies and 2 kinds of fudge, i have a messy house, loads of laundry, i have to think about wrapping, packing and loading up the car by friday as we're heading to utah for Christmas. i am so not ready.
this year the kids and i made our own version of an advent calander. which means that every morning they get up at the crack of dawn to see what's in in for each of them. i did good the first week but it was little candies. i decided i don't want them eating tons of candy so i had to get more creative, which means i have been at michaels and target for the past 8 days trying to find tiny, cheap things. i have forgotten some days and the kids look at me like i'm such a loser! they like "mom don't forget to put something in it tonight". i'm getting desperate people - vitamins, paperclips, cutips, hard boiled eggs, tea bags, double a batteries...anything i can find laying around that comes in 3's. i think this will be the last year i do this!!!
o.k., i'm off to bed. i gotta get up at 5 to go to the gym and work off the 8 pieces of fudge, 5 cookies, and 25 pieces of candy i at today...
