trailer park thanksgiving

this is ethan's table-top creation made from the boxed, yes - BOXED, mashed potatoes...cuz that's what you eat when you live in a trailer.
and this is lauren's creation. we thought it was sweet. boy does she miss her!

the grandfolks.

this is grandpa dick looking so proud of his thanksgiving feast - stuffing in 2 minutes...gotta love it.

our thanksgiving was spent in bishop, ca. this year. ian's family, on his mom's side, lives there and it's not often we get to visit these days. so we packed up and headed off for the Holiday Inn. since his grandparents and stepdad live in trailers (not that there's anything wrong with that) they can't accomodate us staying with them. besides, the kids like the indoor pool.
we loved seeing everyone, eating, sharing good times, visiting moms cemetary (the sprinklers turned on as we were laying down them flowers), and just being away from home.
it's amazing how you can actually fit 20 people into a trailer for thanksgiving. really, i'm so amazed that ian and i are thinking we should give up the good life in pasadena, sell our worldly goods, pack up the kids and go live in a trailer park...all in the name of love.
YA RIGHT...when hell freezes over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
