today is (was) my sweet lauren's bday. she is now 13 and a full on teenager!!!!!!i went to bed at almost midnight last night as i stayed up making little magical detail for her bday. wished in lipstick on the bathroom mirror, banners up, gifts wrapped, crown made, flowers out.
then i got up at 5 and made cupcakes, crepes per her bkfst request, and shared a fun morning with her and the boys. i told her how special the even was for daddy and i when she was born. how her gma pat came to visit her at the hospital and the nurse had to tell her to calm down cuz she was so excited to see her. how daddy was the first to feed her. how i fainted on the floor, head first. how my 30th bday was thee best ever cuz that was the day i took my newborn baby lauren home! how on the day she was born it was raining and the day i took her home it was sunny and beautiful and i sat in the back with her for the ride home and she and ethan asked if they had car seats "back then" or if i held her????
there is never a dull moment with lauren around. she makes sure she is heard, answered, and has the last word!
such a strong personality, that girl.
i never thought my baby girl who i held in my arms and couldn't envision being as big as me...would be as big as me! i just couldn't see it. she's is my jewel. she is our princess. she makes herself known and has her own seperate mode. boy, my girl is a mighty one!
