Mental Clarity

i came to a realization of something the other day...

when we are overwhelmed, consumed, too busy, obsessed with things... we loose that "clarity" and "open space" our minds and brains need for new ideas and inspiration. we need clarity and mental down time for processing "clearance" and time in our minds, thoughts, brains, intellect... to be inspired, thought provoked, gain insight, grasp ideas, and connect with our creative side so we can process ideas, find answers, hear/listen/feel.

i feel I need to stop being so consumed with this and that and doing so much. i guess i feel it's just time to CLEAR THE MENTAL CLUTTER and stop obsessing over stuff (weight, gym, work, house, chores, activities, lists...).

i've begun to let things go...just a little...for starters. i've modified my lists and things i'm involved in and things i obsess over. a lot has to do with how much my family needs me. let's just say it's kinda seasonal. kind of. this is my season to be a giver but i need to fill my well.

the clarity is coming. when i am alone and out in nature i feel the clarity the most, accompanied by inspiration. also, when i do the dishes and fold the laundry, i have the same results.

somehow i hope my little ones will learn this from me. life can be too busy for them already.
