today was evan's 6th bday. the mantle was dedicated to him and the photos reminded me of how much i love my little babies. i remember the day i had my almost 10 pound baby. he was such an easy baby. he slept great and ate good and "oh my gosh" he didn't have red hair! i don't have as many photos of my 3rd one and i seem to remember more about all the details of my first baby, but having him as the last has been a blessing. he was a "surprise" pregnancy - kind of...are they ever
really accidents? can't imagine our home without evan and his boyish ways and toughness. he has a great memory for directions and getting me places. he's all about adventure and trying new things. he can be stubborn like me. he can be shy. he can be spontaneous and risky like his dad. for almost all his bday's i've been in utah for ed. week and so he's never really had a big party. today's wasn't a big party and i didn't get to utah this year. i mainly stayed back to really have his first celebration. he planned it all out and we did exactly what he wanted...

movies with his friends (star wars clones) - i fell asleep...(was up til 2am and up at 6am - why?!)

had a pinata - that's the mexican way to party!

had a star wars cake and cupcakes...of course.

and wore a smile the whole day!
i love you "darth-evan"!
song of the day: "happy birthday" by some 80's band!

you are too cute with that cake and banner/mantel! i miss being near your creativity, among other things! sounds like life is crazy busy, as usual. hope you're well.
love, love, love the birthday mantle!
