lazy dayz of summer...

this is marianne, the only photo i think i have of her, and todd.
ethan and cole...now who's the one with the mexican blood - the white one!
lauren and tyler - every kid should have a water park in their back yard!
cute, little, chunky monkey tanner.

so maybe i'm on the "once a week" schedule of blogging these days. not sure if it's because my life's so boring, it's too hot, or the side of my brain that does all the creative thinking has checked out. anyhow...it's been a pretty full week. we started off the week in mission viejo with marianne - you guys all remember that gorgeous chick who used to live around here then hit the road for the "o.c."... we swam and ate and had a great visit...why do all the good friends gotta go?

might i add that while we were there evan knocked his tooth out and tyler barfed a bit. evan also fractured his arm last week. hmmmmm, wonder what will happen to him next week?.....

then we visited alicia and sage. i lived with alicia's family when i was a missionary and she was just a lil' girl. now she's a mama and lives in aliso viejo and we had a fun visit too. why do all the kids have to grow up and...where are all these grey hairs and wrinkles coming from, i ask????!!!!! this is ethan and friends on a local hike last week with ms. snow. what a fun treat.
this is hannah and her mommy kelly, who i just looooooooooooove! it was her 40th. you rock!!

lastly...this is what a playdate looks like at our place. all the kids on our bed watching a movie... at what point did i lose control of 9 kids? we need a lock on our door!
this kinda sums up the last 2 weeks. i didn't mention that i've been to home depot and the paint store like 50 times as the projects never end around here. oh, and after alicia's, we drove to el segundo for a ward dinner and that was a blast too. seeing old friends and feeding my kids a dinner that i didn't have to cook...priceless!

It was so great to see you guys! So much to talk about, so many blogs to drool over, so little time. Hey, you forgot to mention the rattlesnake, coiled up beneth the front door lying in wait only to be discovered an hour prior to your arrival! I'm thinking with his track record...broken arm and knocked out tooth, Evan would have been bitten. Not even funny. I will plan for a babysitter next summer. Think of how much bargain hunting we could do sans kids! It makes me giddy. See you tomorrow! Please warn Alba that I miss her so much I might have to make out with her upon arrival! xoxox
