...this photo says it all! evan having the time of his life while ian pretends he's gonna barf. o.k., so we were at knott's berry farm yesterday (actually since it's 1:17 am, it's really friday but to me it only thursday night, reallllly late!) - meaning wednesday, for a fun summer outing. lil' evan has a cast so he couldn't go on a lot of rides so we went on the same one's over and over and over! (by the way, my night owl child, lauren, is also still wide awake)

these are chocolate dipped, candy rolled marshmallows which were only 38cents each!!

so the first thing i noticed when we entered the park were all the really cool/vintage light fixtures. now when i go to theme parks i'm not looking at the cute guys and fun rides, i'm checking out the lights and architectual details!

mellow yellow on red. somehow it worked. i mean the colors.

this was a lantern post which was also in purple and turquoise.

lauren on the log ride. we got on this a couple of times. takes me back to my childhood, ohhhhhh

the boys in back of us.

and again on the log ride. here i'm in front of ian so he can grope me in the dark tunnels. men.

so on tuesday my sister sarah and i took our kids to hansen dam - white trash wanna-be beach. this is she and kiki - her son.

they were so bored!!! seriously...10 minutes after we got there they wanted to leave - what up??? we ignored them so she and i could bond and unwind and talk and catch up on life...
then we were ready to leave. got a little tan, wore the kids out, we know how to parent!
this week has been crazy. we've had painters all week and carpenters and plumbers. gettin' stuff done around here is really happening! i'll post some before and after photos next week. i'm also busy planning evan's bday that's this saturday. what was i thinking? i just work better under pressure.
song of the day: "under pressure" by bowie and queen.
